More Package!!

Just a few more minutes until New Year's Eve, everyone! (Where I'm at, it's already 2016. Hehe.)

Anyway, here I am, with another package. As I've mentioned in one of my previous posts, even though I haven't been posting stuff here on the blog, I still bought stuff. One of those is this package. It's been sitting in my room for quite some time now, so...

Another package!
I wonder what's inside... *wink*

Too Much Gunpla = Multiple Gunplas

Here's my NG Gundam Heavyarms, still untouched.
Because of activities at college, my schedule was pretty much locked down. I wasn't able to do any Gunpla building for more than a year now. Being a Computer Science student also didn't help. Most of the time, I had little to no sleep. Building computer programs eat up a lot of time, I discovered, but debugging them usually takes an eternity.

While my Gunpla-building activities were halted, I was still able to do a few Gundam-related stuff with the (little) spare time that I have. During my hiatus, I was able to watch the Gundam shows that were airing at the time, namely Gundam Build Fighters and Gundam Build Fighters Try. I'm currently watching the latest Gundam anime, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. In rare ocassions, I also visit the mall. Of course, I check the toy section in the department store every time I come to the mall. Sometimes, I'm tempted to buy Gunplas. Sometimes, I give in to the temptation. Ehe.

No Posts Again?! "Another Hiatus"...

Hello again!

It's been a while since I've posted on Jyuzou's Blog. Well, actually, it's already been more than a year. *sigh*

I apologize again for the sudden halt of content. As I approach my senior years in college, I've been finding it harder to allot time for things aside from school work... For the past months, I haven't been sleeping for days because of the torrent of projects and super tight deadlines at school. I now have free time because we have a semester break that started around the second week of December, but my body just wants me to sleep all day for now...

Again, I'll try to post more stuff soon. Surprisingly for me, it's even harder to find time to spare for small stuff as well...

I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season! We still have until January, so keep relaxing, and I'll see you on the next post!

The "New Weapon", Huawei Ascend G610-U20 [2014]!

Unlock to reveal Android awesomeness!
I'd like you to meet my "new weapon", the Huawei Ascend G610!

Yes, I received an upgrade early this year and I was able to finally replace my old phone. I'm not going to do a thorough review of this smartphone. I'm sure there are a lot of websites out there with in-depth reviews of this unit. I would just like to dedicate a post about it since I'll be using it as my main gadget in my future adventures (and in everything I do, really). Yay!

Back to College Life...

I'm currently back at school.
I'm taking a computer-related degree. Again.

Yay.

Lately, I've been preoccupied with school work...
Hmmm..

Yes, I already went to college in the past. Back then, I wasn't dedicated enough to finish the program. I ended up quitting... It was one of the darkest times of my life. I'm pretty sure there are some of you out there that has a similar experience to mine. Some might have "darker" experiences. One thing's for sure, we're not proud of these experiences. I guess I'm trying to convince myself to move on when I say these things...

Yup, this is the reason why I haven't been able to post for a long time on my blog as of late. We're about to have our final exams next week. I'm trying to get high grades (compared to just getting mediocre grades in the past) so I can compensate for not finishing college before. I realized that I was always an under-achiever because of my own laziness. Again, I'm not really proud of that trait of mine...

So, why suddenly enroll again for a college degree?

I realized that I wanted to do something better with my life. Before I die, even just once, I want to do something that I'll be proud of and contribute to our world.

Hopefully, I'll be able to post this September, since we're also going to have a break before the next semester starts.

See you guys on the next post!

No Posts?! "Super Slow Blog Pace"...

Hello!

I'm sorry, it's been a while since I've posted anything on Jyuzou's Blog. I apologize for the "super slow pace" that the blog is currently in. I've been busy with school for the past couple of months because of the new things I need to adjust to. I have anticipated this, although I never thought that I won't be able to post this much.. Again, I apologize...

Next month, though, I'm going to try to post more stuff to compensate for the lack of content for the last couple of months. I'll also slip in some tidbits of what's currently happening in my almost uneventful life, lol. In the meantime, please do bare with me. I know I still have a lot of Gunpla Kits that I haven't reviewed yet...

Stay tuned for August, and I'll see you guys on the next post!

I Need More Time...

Hello, everyone!

I'm really sorry, I wasn't able to post anything for around 2 weeks. I'm currently getting the HG RX-78-2 Gundam Kit Review done, but it seems that this thing takes more time to build than usual... It's not that it's hard to build or anything (I'm guessing, I haven't really assembled the Gunpla yet), it's because it takes more time to clean the parts after you've separated them from the runners.

Really tiny parts.. Hard to remove nubs.. Like the one I'm holding right here, the red thingamajig for the v-fin..
Yeah, I moved my laptop to another table so that I'll have more space on my desk for other desk stuff. It wouldn't be so hard if some of the parts aren't super tiny... I guess that's one problem you'll have to face when building a 1:144 Scale Gundam Model Kit. Hmmm.. The thought of building a "Real Grade" now seems much scarier to me...

I'll post the Gunpla Review as soon as I can and I'll see you guys on the next post!

Knock-off Review: "Wing Gundam Ver. Tagaytay" Review

Hey, it's a Black Wing Gundam! That looks aweso... *gasp* (Cannot unsee!)
As we were walking around the stores in People's Park in the the Sky in Tagaytay City two weeks ago, I happen to stumble upon this not-so-rare gem. In the Philippines, this is already a common sight. But, really, this was just SO ridiculous that I just had to buy it! (Also because it was based on one of my favorite Gundams..)

So, here's a cheap toy I bought from Tagaytay: the "Cosmic Warrior", or, as I'd like to call it, "Wing Gundam Ver. Tagaytay"! It's like the "Ver. KA" that you've always never wanted!

Regretting that I've missed Toy Kingdom's Gundam Model Kit Contest 2013...

Last weekend, I was supposed to go to SM North Edsa Mall here in the Philippines for Toy Kingdom's Gundam Exhibit and Model Kit Contest but wasn't able to because of a conflict in schedule.. The reason is because my family and I went to Tagaytay City again last weekend (and I can't really say no since it's my family). I couldn't even make it to the awarding ceremony because we were in Tagaytay the entire weekend which is a bummer.

No pictures, no videos, no nothing... I can't report anything. Crap!

Screenshot of "Gundam No Ou", a blog that has great coverage of Toy Kingdom's Gundam Model Kit Contest 2013. I hope he/she doesn't mind me posting a screenshot of their blog here..
On a positive note, other bloggers are able to take pictures of the event and upload pictures to their blogs for everyone to see! (And for everyone who missed the event!) ...On a negative note, it also showed me how freakin' awesome the event was that I'm regretting to not have gone there even more... Waaaaahhh!!

Already Damaged...

Ah, stupidity... I have plenty. Unfortunately.

While we were in tbe middle of getting the floor of my room repaired last weekend, I had to remove stuff from my room and place them temporarily in the living room. Of course, I had to move my Gunplas as well and guess what, I dropped one of them.

The shield's handle snapped off, and it's only been 2 weeks... Annoying.

Deformed, then Reconstructed...

Oh, sorry, I'm referring to my room.

Whew! That was a long weekend! There was actually an government election held here in our country this Monday, so almost all people had their day-off yesterday as well. But before the elections, our family spent the weekends fixing things in the house. They hired carpenters to fix some of the broken cabinets and other stuff. Also, my room's flooring got fixed as well. Yay! Here's my desk's current look. No drastic changes, mind you, but you can now check my tiny desk in its entirety.

My Desk, back to normal!

Package!!

I bought something online! I actually received this last Monday and I just wasn't able to post it immediately.

I got 2 packages. The other one was delivered by LBC, but I got excited, opened it immediately and forgot to take a picture.

Reminiscing: Old Chibi Dragon Ball Z Figures

My oldest Dragon Ball Z toys! Good times...
More rummaging, more rummaging. More old stuff, more old stuff. Well, not really. I found these in one of my Dad's display cabinets. (Yes, he likes toys too. I guess it's hereditary.) These are my oldest Dragon Ball Z toys.

Reminiscing: Old Hamma Hamma Model Kit (Construction Manual)

AMX-103 Hamma Hamma Construction Manual

I found another random stuff while rummaging in my cabinet. It's another Construction Manual. My Hamma Hamma Model Kit's. This kit was actually a birthday gift for me from one of my Dad's friends.

G Generation-0 Super Deformed No. 18: RGM-79N GM Custom Review (Unofficial)

As I was looking for the 'successor' to my beloved SD Jegan, I found this.
A few months (I think) afterwards, after our vacation in Hongkong, I looked for toys similar to my beloved SD Jegan. I'm not really sure where I found this kit, but I still remember why I bought this particular Mobile Suit. Yup, it's because it almost looks exactly like my beloved SD Jegan. Actually, since I don't know SD Jegan's name back then (because it's written in Japanese, and I can't read it), I thought that this particular kit IS Jegan. Well, actually, it's vice-versa since I can read this kit's name. "Oh, so it's called GM Custom!" was probably my reaction when I first saw this kit. I bought it because I wanted to know how it differs from the one that I own. Seriously, I thought it only had a different box because it was a re-release or something.

Since this is a very old Gunpla of mine, I'll label it as an "unofficial" review.

Head on past the break to view the entire post!

Reminiscing: My First SD Gundam Model Kits (Old Construction Manuals)

I found more memories while rummaging in my pile of old stuff, old construction manuals from my first SD Gundam Model Kits. I think that these were the first Gundam Model Kits that I've bought, but I'm not sure. I just realized that there are no Gundams among the kits, which is kinda strange for me since I don't really like non-Gundam Mobile Suits. I think I bought these when I was still unaware of any Gundam Anime or model kits.

The very first BB Senshi SD Gundam that I've bought, "Jegan".

Reminiscing: Old Gundam Wing SD Model Kits

While rummaging through my pile of old stuff, I found my old SD Gundam Wing model kits. I remembered that I was actually trying to restore them before but stopped midway when I realized that I was ruining it even more. They've been stored in my cabinet for a long time now and, obviously, they don't look too good because of that.

My old Gundam Wing SD Model Kits. They've been stored in my dusty cabinet, so I dunked them all in warm water to remove some of the dust.

Rekindling the love for Gundam Plastic Model Kits

RX-78-2 Gundam displayed in Yexel's Toy Museum.
It's been a while since I watched another Gundam series... The word "Gundam" has not been on my mind since the last Gundam Anime I've watched, Gundam SEED. I haven't even watched Gundam SEED Destiny yet (because I prefer watching Gundam Anime in English dub and I'm still looking for a copy of the English dub version) and I know that there were already a couple of Gundam Anime series since then, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, which just finished airing last October. But really, I haven't been watching Anime shows in general for the past few years. After I was introduced to the Manga World (mainly, Shounen Jump), I read manga instead.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 + Yexel's Toy Museum + vegeta8259 (and Prime92)

This was the combination that made me look into Gundam again.

Preparing Written Reviews

It took me 5 days before I realized that, disappointingly, I don't have the necessary tools right now to create a decent Gunpla review video...

My original plan was to upload my Gunpla unboxing and review videos on YouTube then simultaneously post its written review equivalent here on my blog. *sigh* And I was really looking forward to uploading that review... But it's just almost impossible with my current gear right now. I knew that making review videos were going to be hard, but I didn't expect it to be this tedious... or maybe that's just me?

So for now, I guess, I'm gonna stick with written reviews. The first Gunpla Model Kit review is actually done and will be posted within the day. Let me just do some finishing touches..

I'll review the Gunpla kits here.
For now, you can take a look at my review desk.

Review Pikachu will accompany me during reviews.
And here's Review Pikachu! (He's just on my desk. For some reason.)

Alright! See you on the next post!
