Preview: BB Senshi SD RX-78-2 Gundam

Here's a preview of one of the kits for my projects next year. "Jyuzou, do you have an obsession with RX-78 Gundams or something?" Yeah, I have the EG, a HG (that I haven't finished building yet), and now this. Hmmmm... Probably? Ahehe.

More SD Gundams! MORE SD GUNDAMS! HAHAHA!
I actually bought this a few months ago, as a gift for myself. So, this kit has been in my room for quite a while now.

The second reason is because I really REALLY love SD Gundam model kits! They're so CUTE! *squeals* And the third reason is, like I've said before, I wanted to do small kits first. Hopefully, I'll be able to post my review of this kit soon. ...and the fourth reason is I think it would be super cool to have this side-by-side with the HG version. (Once I complete it that also.)

Well, that's it! See you on the next post!

I Need More Time...

Hello, everyone!

I'm really sorry, I wasn't able to post anything for around 2 weeks. I'm currently getting the HG RX-78-2 Gundam Kit Review done, but it seems that this thing takes more time to build than usual... It's not that it's hard to build or anything (I'm guessing, I haven't really assembled the Gunpla yet), it's because it takes more time to clean the parts after you've separated them from the runners.

Really tiny parts.. Hard to remove nubs.. Like the one I'm holding right here, the red thingamajig for the v-fin..
Yeah, I moved my laptop to another table so that I'll have more space on my desk for other desk stuff. It wouldn't be so hard if some of the parts aren't super tiny... I guess that's one problem you'll have to face when building a 1:144 Scale Gundam Model Kit. Hmmm.. The thought of building a "Real Grade" now seems much scarier to me...

I'll post the Gunpla Review as soon as I can and I'll see you guys on the next post!

Preview: The RX-78-2 Gundam "High Grade [HG] Gunpla Starter Set Volume 2"

Alright, time to get back to Gundam-related posts. I still regret not being able to go to SM North Edsa for Toy Kingdom's event... Anyway, moving on.

Ah, June... My favorite month. (Because I don't get any presents in December! ...well, I did get gifts before. I think they stopped giving me gifts because I got older? Darn.)

It's time for some "High Grade" Gunpla Reviews!
...and as promised, we'll take a closer look at the "High Grade [HG]" line of Gundam Model Kits from Bandai this month. And what better kit to start with than the original Gundam, RX-78-2! This is the "Gunpla Starter Set Volume 2" and this is actually one of the first Gunpla that I bought for myself to review. (It's the third kit, specifically. I already bought this kit before I started blogging. I wanted this kit to be the first one that I review. It didn't work out the way I wanted to, though... I'm just really stubborn about making a video review for it, I guess. *sigh* One day, Jyuzou... One day.)

I'll have more High Grade Gundam Model Kits prepared for you guys this month. I think I'll be able to post at least 3 HG kit reviews this June. Actually, I already have 2 HG kits with me (including this kit) and I'm just waiting for the right opportunity to give it a proper Gunpla Review. Unfortunately, I'm going to be busy starting next month that I think I won't be able to post as often as I do in the past 2 months. But I'll still try.

I'm looking forward to the new Gunpla Reviews next month! I hope more of you guys can join me in my quest in Gunpla building and collecting. See you guys in the next post!

First, I would like to apologize to everyone for not being able to post the last 2 Entry Grade Gunpla Reviews last week. I was a little busy preparing and organizing a few documents of mine. So, finally, I was able to collect and review all 4 Entry Grade Gundam Model Kits! Here's a link to all 4 Gunpla Reviews in case you haven't read them yet:
Also, jump past the break for a quick summary of the Entry Grade Kits for those of you who doesn't want to read through all the reviews.

Plastic Model Kit Summer Workshop: A Starting Line for Gunpla Hobby Beginners

An interesting-looking banner...
Well, this is a really late post for this announcement. I actually saw this banner around 2 weeks ago.. Procrastination. It's great. (Not really.) Anyway... Check this out, Gunpla enthusiasts!

Are you planning on participating in this year's Toy Kingdom Gundam Model Kit Contest, but feel that you're not yet confident with your Gunpla building skills? Maybe you've just entered the world of Gunpla building and you're interested in modifying or painting your Gunplas and you don't know where to start? Maybe you're just looking for a new or different recreational activity this summer? Or maybe, like me, you just really like.. No. You're just OBSESSED about anything Gundam-related?

But, more importantly, are you in the Philippines as of the moment? Because that's important.

If your answer is YES, then the Plastic Model Kit Summer Workshop just might be for you!

I'm not sure yet if I could join, but I'm giving it much thought. If you're interested, you can get more information on their Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/PMKWorkshop

Here are some basic information, too, if you want to contact them personally:

Address: 2574 Brookside Drive, Parkplace Executive Village, 1900 Cainta, Rizal
Contact No.: 0922-678-6006 / (02) 996-95-22
Look for 'Eric Capucion'

The workshop is 5 days long, 3 hours per daily session. If you have P2500 to spare, why not, right? Why not enroll your children this summer as well? This is a very awesome way to spend their summer vacation. Plus, they get a free Gunpla kit. Sweet! Why not join your kids as well? You could use a break. It's just 3 hours per day, so why not?

More Gundam-related stuff in the future. See you in the next post!

G Generation-F Super Deformed No. 57: MAN-08 Newtype's Mobile Armor "Elmeth" Unboxing & Review

The Newtype's Mobile Armor, "Elmeth".
The Blog's content is seriously lacking for the last few days. So, to remedy this, I'm going to occasionally post some Gunpla reviews until I finish preparing for the more interesting Gunpla Model Kits that I have bought. And with that said, let's go ahead with today's Gunpla review! The "SD MAN-08 Newtype's Mobile Armor" a.k.a "Elmeth".

G Generation-0 Super Deformed No. 18: RGM-79N GM Custom Review (Unofficial)

As I was looking for the 'successor' to my beloved SD Jegan, I found this.
A few months (I think) afterwards, after our vacation in Hongkong, I looked for toys similar to my beloved SD Jegan. I'm not really sure where I found this kit, but I still remember why I bought this particular Mobile Suit. Yup, it's because it almost looks exactly like my beloved SD Jegan. Actually, since I don't know SD Jegan's name back then (because it's written in Japanese, and I can't read it), I thought that this particular kit IS Jegan. Well, actually, it's vice-versa since I can read this kit's name. "Oh, so it's called GM Custom!" was probably my reaction when I first saw this kit. I bought it because I wanted to know how it differs from the one that I own. Seriously, I thought it only had a different box because it was a re-release or something.

Since this is a very old Gunpla of mine, I'll label it as an "unofficial" review.

Head on past the break to view the entire post!

Reminiscing: My First SD Gundam Model Kits (Old Construction Manuals)

I found more memories while rummaging in my pile of old stuff, old construction manuals from my first SD Gundam Model Kits. I think that these were the first Gundam Model Kits that I've bought, but I'm not sure. I just realized that there are no Gundams among the kits, which is kinda strange for me since I don't really like non-Gundam Mobile Suits. I think I bought these when I was still unaware of any Gundam Anime or model kits.

The very first BB Senshi SD Gundam that I've bought, "Jegan".

What is an "ECOPLA"?

Ok. You go to your local hobby store. You buy a Gundam model kit. "It's kinda strange", you thought. The box is black & white for some reason. Unfortunately, you can't read Japanese. "Maybe it's a limited edition?" is what came to mind while you're staring at the box. But then you thought "If it's a limited edition, why is it this cheap?". It looks just like a normal Gunpla kit (except for the black & white box, that is) and the only thing that you see that's out of place is an "ECOPLA" text/logo that's printed around the box. Hmmm... "Eco.. Pla..?" As you open the box, you're surprised. But not really. This is my first impression when I bought an "ECOPLA" Gundam Model Kit. And if you've bought one in the past, this is probably what your reaction is like as well.

Have you bought a Gunpla that had this logo before?
So, what is an "ECOPLA"?

Preview: Entry Grade Gundam Model Kits

I'm planning on building and collecting A LOT of Gundam Model Kits, and I'd like to keep a record of the kits that I'll be building here on my blog to share with fellow Gundam fans or Gunpla collectors.

However, in terms of actual skills, I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to building Gundam Model Kits. Although I can't really say that I haven't had a chance to build one when I was young.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic. This post is actually just a preview for the first Gunpla review that I will be posting soon. I've already bought 5 Gundam kits to start off with, and these are pictures for the 2 kits that will get reviewed first. I'll try to get as in-depth as I possibly can and also post high-resolution pictures for you to peruse. Please be patient, as I am planning on uploading youtube videos for my Gundam model kit reviews as well.

For my first 2 reviews:

Entry Grade RX-78-2 Gundam
Entry Grade GN-001 Gundam Exia
Yeah, I know. "What the hell?! Entry Grade kits?!!"

I promise that there will be High Grade [HG], Master Grade [MG] and other higher grade kit reviews in the future. But since I'm still a beginner, I think it's only appropriate that the first kits I build will be equally proportional to my skills.

See you on the next post!
