Preview: G Generation-F Super Deformed No.227: RX-178 + FXA-05D Super Gundam

Whew! SD Gundam Physalis took more time to review than I thought! I'm starting to get a good idea of how long it will take me to review High Grades and Master Grades...

Anyway, I actually bought 2 SD kits to review while I'm preparing (stalling) for my "main" reviews. I was reviewing my reviews (what?) to check its format. I've decided to use my "improved" review format on SD Gundam Physalis' review. Nothing major, though. Just a few tweaks here and there to make the format more "uniform" or whatever. I hope that it's easier to read.

Am I stalling again? Wait. "Preparing". Sorry. So, here's the next kit that I'll be reviewing.

Super Deformed (RX-178 + FXA-05D) Super Gundam

Another G Generation kit! This time, it's "Super Gundam"! Must be Superman's Mobile Suit or somethings. Huh.

So, I'll see you in the next post!

G Generation-0 Super Deformed No.202: Gundam RX-78 GP02A "Physalis" Unboxing & Review

Big shield. Big Bazooka. Big thrusters. Big Gundam. (Well, big SD Gundam..) Be afraid.
Review time! This time, it' for SD Gundam Physalis from Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. Although I haven't watched the Stardust Memory movie, I do remember Gundam Physalis from Gundam Battle Assault 2. It's one of the coolest Gundams I've ever seen. However, it's not one of the Mobile Suits that I'd regularly use in that game...

But we're not here to talk about the game, we're here for the kit! So jump past the break to check the full details on SD Gundam Physalis' unboxing and review.

Preview: G Generation-0 Super Deformed No.202: Gundam RX-78 GP02A "Physalis"

More "filler" unboxings and reviews while I prepare for my "main" Gunpla Reviews... I've just only started my blog and I'm already having problems. Annoying...

Anyway, I'd hate to call any of my reviews as "filler". I love all of my Gundam kits equally and I hate to degrade them by labeling their review as "filler". I mean, the only reason why I'm calling this a "filler" is because I still haven't prepared the gear for my review in order to do it in its "true" format. Huh. Anyway, I'll still do my best to give every kit that I own a proper and thorough review.

So... on to the preview of the review. Review preview. Right.

Super Deformed RX-78 GP02A Gundam Physalis

I think I'll be needing more time to get this done. Compared to the previous reviews that I've done, this one is the closest thing to a "proper" Gunpla. I mean, looking at the reviews that I've done so far... 2 Entry Grade kits, An old and already assembled SD Gunpla, and an SD Mobile Armor... Yeah.

Anyway, I'll post the review soon and I'll see you in the next post!

Anime Overview: After War Gundam X

Another Gundam Anime Overview! This is the third Gundam series that I've watched and I was very excited when this was about to be aired on television back in the day. I was really obsessed with anything Gundam-related after watching Gundam Wing, and after watching G Gundam, I was ready for my 3rd round. Again, during my Anime Overview posts, I'm not here to tell people if this Anime is good or crap. I'm just posting this so that I could share the Anime to others that are not familiar with it. However, I will obviously have some opinions somewhere in the post about the Anime's positive and negative sides (from my point of view), and this particular post (I think) will have me writing a lot of negative comments. This, however, doesn't mean that the overall Anime is crap. With that said, let's take a look at "After War Gundam X".

Reminiscing: Old Chibi Dragon Ball Z Figures

My oldest Dragon Ball Z toys! Good times...
More rummaging, more rummaging. More old stuff, more old stuff. Well, not really. I found these in one of my Dad's display cabinets. (Yes, he likes toys too. I guess it's hereditary.) These are my oldest Dragon Ball Z toys.

Plastic Model Kit Summer Workshop: A Starting Line for Gunpla Hobby Beginners

An interesting-looking banner...
Well, this is a really late post for this announcement. I actually saw this banner around 2 weeks ago.. Procrastination. It's great. (Not really.) Anyway... Check this out, Gunpla enthusiasts!

Are you planning on participating in this year's Toy Kingdom Gundam Model Kit Contest, but feel that you're not yet confident with your Gunpla building skills? Maybe you've just entered the world of Gunpla building and you're interested in modifying or painting your Gunplas and you don't know where to start? Maybe you're just looking for a new or different recreational activity this summer? Or maybe, like me, you just really like.. No. You're just OBSESSED about anything Gundam-related?

But, more importantly, are you in the Philippines as of the moment? Because that's important.

If your answer is YES, then the Plastic Model Kit Summer Workshop just might be for you!

I'm not sure yet if I could join, but I'm giving it much thought. If you're interested, you can get more information on their Facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/PMKWorkshop

Here are some basic information, too, if you want to contact them personally:

Address: 2574 Brookside Drive, Parkplace Executive Village, 1900 Cainta, Rizal
Contact No.: 0922-678-6006 / (02) 996-95-22
Look for 'Eric Capucion'

The workshop is 5 days long, 3 hours per daily session. If you have P2500 to spare, why not, right? Why not enroll your children this summer as well? This is a very awesome way to spend their summer vacation. Plus, they get a free Gunpla kit. Sweet! Why not join your kids as well? You could use a break. It's just 3 hours per day, so why not?

More Gundam-related stuff in the future. See you in the next post!

G Generation-F Super Deformed No. 57: MAN-08 Newtype's Mobile Armor "Elmeth" Unboxing & Review

The Newtype's Mobile Armor, "Elmeth".
The Blog's content is seriously lacking for the last few days. So, to remedy this, I'm going to occasionally post some Gunpla reviews until I finish preparing for the more interesting Gunpla Model Kits that I have bought. And with that said, let's go ahead with today's Gunpla review! The "SD MAN-08 Newtype's Mobile Armor" a.k.a "Elmeth".

Reminiscing: Old Hamma Hamma Model Kit (Construction Manual)

AMX-103 Hamma Hamma Construction Manual

I found another random stuff while rummaging in my cabinet. It's another Construction Manual. My Hamma Hamma Model Kit's. This kit was actually a birthday gift for me from one of my Dad's friends.

G Generation-0 Super Deformed No. 18: RGM-79N GM Custom Review (Unofficial)

As I was looking for the 'successor' to my beloved SD Jegan, I found this.
A few months (I think) afterwards, after our vacation in Hongkong, I looked for toys similar to my beloved SD Jegan. I'm not really sure where I found this kit, but I still remember why I bought this particular Mobile Suit. Yup, it's because it almost looks exactly like my beloved SD Jegan. Actually, since I don't know SD Jegan's name back then (because it's written in Japanese, and I can't read it), I thought that this particular kit IS Jegan. Well, actually, it's vice-versa since I can read this kit's name. "Oh, so it's called GM Custom!" was probably my reaction when I first saw this kit. I bought it because I wanted to know how it differs from the one that I own. Seriously, I thought it only had a different box because it was a re-release or something.

Since this is a very old Gunpla of mine, I'll label it as an "unofficial" review.

Head on past the break to view the entire post!

Reminiscing: My First SD Gundam Model Kits (Old Construction Manuals)

I found more memories while rummaging in my pile of old stuff, old construction manuals from my first SD Gundam Model Kits. I think that these were the first Gundam Model Kits that I've bought, but I'm not sure. I just realized that there are no Gundams among the kits, which is kinda strange for me since I don't really like non-Gundam Mobile Suits. I think I bought these when I was still unaware of any Gundam Anime or model kits.

The very first BB Senshi SD Gundam that I've bought, "Jegan".

Reminiscing: Old Gundam Wing SD Model Kits

While rummaging through my pile of old stuff, I found my old SD Gundam Wing model kits. I remembered that I was actually trying to restore them before but stopped midway when I realized that I was ruining it even more. They've been stored in my cabinet for a long time now and, obviously, they don't look too good because of that.

My old Gundam Wing SD Model Kits. They've been stored in my dusty cabinet, so I dunked them all in warm water to remove some of the dust.

Rekindling the love for Gundam Plastic Model Kits

RX-78-2 Gundam displayed in Yexel's Toy Museum.
It's been a while since I watched another Gundam series... The word "Gundam" has not been on my mind since the last Gundam Anime I've watched, Gundam SEED. I haven't even watched Gundam SEED Destiny yet (because I prefer watching Gundam Anime in English dub and I'm still looking for a copy of the English dub version) and I know that there were already a couple of Gundam Anime series since then, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, which just finished airing last October. But really, I haven't been watching Anime shows in general for the past few years. After I was introduced to the Manga World (mainly, Shounen Jump), I read manga instead.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 + Yexel's Toy Museum + vegeta8259 (and Prime92)

This was the combination that made me look into Gundam again.

Yexel's Toy Museum: Anime Nostalgia Overload

Welcome to "Yexel's Toy Museum"!

Yexel's Toy Museum Entrance
This is a 3-story building that exhibits famous Cartoons, Anime, Manga, Comics, Video Games, and Movie character figurines, toys, statues, and dioramas. But what really interests people who come to visit is the Museum's last room, which is home to the largest Optimus Prime bust in the world!

The owner, Yexel Sebastian, opened the Toy Museum last August 26, 2012 and has costed him around ₱8 million to build it. Wow.

What is an "ECOPLA"?

Ok. You go to your local hobby store. You buy a Gundam model kit. "It's kinda strange", you thought. The box is black & white for some reason. Unfortunately, you can't read Japanese. "Maybe it's a limited edition?" is what came to mind while you're staring at the box. But then you thought "If it's a limited edition, why is it this cheap?". It looks just like a normal Gunpla kit (except for the black & white box, that is) and the only thing that you see that's out of place is an "ECOPLA" text/logo that's printed around the box. Hmmm... "Eco.. Pla..?" As you open the box, you're surprised. But not really. This is my first impression when I bought an "ECOPLA" Gundam Model Kit. And if you've bought one in the past, this is probably what your reaction is like as well.

Have you bought a Gunpla that had this logo before?
So, what is an "ECOPLA"?

Anime Overview: Mobile Fighter G-Gundam

Now, let's take a look at another Gundam Anime, Mobile Fighter G-Gundam. This series is full with action-packed fight scenes. It is also heavily criticized by Gundam fans. Now, just like before, I'm not here to tell you if this Anime is good or not. I would just like to give an overview of the Anime to those who are not familiar to it. And so, head on past the break to check the full overview post of "Mobile Fighter G-Gundam", a fresh take on the Gundam franchise.

Anime Overview: New Mobile Report Gundam W

I'm not really good at doing reviews, because I'm not generally good at critiquing stuff and I'm not really a critic. So I've decided, instead of doing a review for this, I'll just give the readers a brief overview of the Anime. I have fond memories of this Anime series, and I know that most of you have, too. I'm not here to tell you if this is good or bad. I would just like to share it to those who are not familiar with the Anime. So, read on for the overview of "New Mobile Report Gundam W".

Shout out to vegeta8259!

April Fool's Day to everyone!
(Well, we don't really celebrate April Fool's here.. So.. Huh.)

Anyway, this post is not about April Fool's.
Another month is starting, and I'm looking forward to posting more Gunpla stuff! And I'd like to start this month by making a shout out to Henry of YouTube or more popularly known by his username, vegeta8259. I just heard him say his real name in some of his vids.

I enjoy watching all of his Gunpla videos and tutorials in YouTube. His plastic modeling skills are amazing! I wish I could paint as good as him... Thank you for sharing your masterpieces to us! I hope you continue to make more videos to inspire and help other Gunpla enthusiasts worldwide.

Yes, I was inspired by vegeta8259 to make this blog! Go and check his YouTube channel and videos so you can be inspired as well! (But if you like Gunpla, you most likely already know who Henry is.) Here's the link to his YouTube Channel:
