Preview: The RX-78-2 Gundam "High Grade [HG] Gunpla Starter Set Volume 2"

Alright, time to get back to Gundam-related posts. I still regret not being able to go to SM North Edsa for Toy Kingdom's event... Anyway, moving on.

Ah, June... My favorite month. (Because I don't get any presents in December! ...well, I did get gifts before. I think they stopped giving me gifts because I got older? Darn.)

It's time for some "High Grade" Gunpla Reviews!
...and as promised, we'll take a closer look at the "High Grade [HG]" line of Gundam Model Kits from Bandai this month. And what better kit to start with than the original Gundam, RX-78-2! This is the "Gunpla Starter Set Volume 2" and this is actually one of the first Gunpla that I bought for myself to review. (It's the third kit, specifically. I already bought this kit before I started blogging. I wanted this kit to be the first one that I review. It didn't work out the way I wanted to, though... I'm just really stubborn about making a video review for it, I guess. *sigh* One day, Jyuzou... One day.)

I'll have more High Grade Gundam Model Kits prepared for you guys this month. I think I'll be able to post at least 3 HG kit reviews this June. Actually, I already have 2 HG kits with me (including this kit) and I'm just waiting for the right opportunity to give it a proper Gunpla Review. Unfortunately, I'm going to be busy starting next month that I think I won't be able to post as often as I do in the past 2 months. But I'll still try.

I'm looking forward to the new Gunpla Reviews next month! I hope more of you guys can join me in my quest in Gunpla building and collecting. See you guys in the next post!

Going Places - People's Park in the Sky (Tagaytay)

Lots of tourists here at the "People's Park in the Sky". They'll be in for a very disappointing experience, and so was I. *sigh*
One of the famous tourist spots here at Tagaytay City is the "People's Park in the Sky". It was originally named "Palace in the Sky", I discovered after doing a little research on the web. (I was initially calling it "Palace in the Sky" and I thought that I was wrong when I saw its Hollywood-like sign.) Since it was raining on the day we arrived in Tagaytay, we were only able to go around places the next day. This is our final destination before heading home.

If you're a tourist looking for beautiful places in the Philippines to visit, then look further! Yes, you read that right, LOOK ELSEWHERE. Because this is definitely not the place you're looking for.

Still not convinced? Fine. Let my post enlighten you.

Going Places - ViewPoint: Inn & Restaurant (Tagaytay)

Welcome to "ViewPont: Inn & Restaurant"!
There are tons of Hotels and Inns in Tagaytay City, if ever you wanted to spend the night on your visit there. Although I haven't lodged in any of the other Hotels and Inns, I can tell that ViewPoint is probably one of the best options around. I can even go so far as to say that to truely enjoy your visit in Tagaytay City, you must stay for one night in this inn. ...and I know everybody will be looking for pictures, so let's go and have a look around.

Regretting that I've missed Toy Kingdom's Gundam Model Kit Contest 2013...

Last weekend, I was supposed to go to SM North Edsa Mall here in the Philippines for Toy Kingdom's Gundam Exhibit and Model Kit Contest but wasn't able to because of a conflict in schedule.. The reason is because my family and I went to Tagaytay City again last weekend (and I can't really say no since it's my family). I couldn't even make it to the awarding ceremony because we were in Tagaytay the entire weekend which is a bummer.

No pictures, no videos, no nothing... I can't report anything. Crap!

Screenshot of "Gundam No Ou", a blog that has great coverage of Toy Kingdom's Gundam Model Kit Contest 2013. I hope he/she doesn't mind me posting a screenshot of their blog here..
On a positive note, other bloggers are able to take pictures of the event and upload pictures to their blogs for everyone to see! (And for everyone who missed the event!) ...On a negative note, it also showed me how freakin' awesome the event was that I'm regretting to not have gone there even more... Waaaaahhh!!

Gunpla Summary: Entry Grade Line Complete!

The Entry Grade line of kits completed!
First, I would like to apologize to everyone for not being able to post the last 2 Entry Grade Gunpla Reviews last week. I was a little busy preparing and organizing a few documents of mine. But I was able to post the last Entry Grade Gunpla Review a few hours ago. The Reviews Page has also been updated accordingly. Alright, enough excuses.

So, finally, I was able to collect and review all 4 Entry Grade Gundam Model Kits! Here's a link to all 4 Gunpla Reviews in case you haven't read them yet:
Also, jump past the break for a quick summary of the Entry Grade Kits for those of you who doesn't want to read through all the reviews.

"Quantum Brainwaves"? Yeah, that's Mobile Suit Gundam 00 for you.
The first Mobile Suit installed with a "Twin Drive System" makes its grand appearance in its Entry Grade form here in Jyuzou's Blog! I hope that I've saved the best for last, since this is the final Gundam Model Kit that I'll review from the Entry Grade line.

Entry Grade GAT-X105 Strike Gundam Gunpla Unboxing & Review

The Earth Alliance's "All-Purpose Multi-Mode" Prototype MS.
"General Unilateral Neuro-Link Dispersive Autonomic Maneuver", or "GUNDAM", which is the name the "GAT" Mobile Suits' OS uses and is not actually referring to the Mobile Suit itself. Yep.

But enough trivia that most Gundam fans are probably familiar with. It's time to take a look at another Entry Grade Gunpla, the EG Strike Gundam! So, head on past the break to check out the full details.

Preview: Dengeki Hobby bundled Gunpla "MSW-004 Gundam Kestrel"

In the last post, we took a sneak peak at a Dengeki Hobby Magazine. I also mentioned the reason why I purchased that particular magazine is because it comes with a free Gunpla kit. I also failed to mention that that particular Gundam kit is currently exclusive to that magazine, so you won't be able to get it anywhere else.

So today, I'm just going to show you the box of "MSW-004 Gundam Kestrel" that comes bundled with the magazine.

Dengeki Hobby 2012 Magazine Volume 5 Review

I've mentioned before that I bought a few items from 2 online sources last month. I've already shown you what one of the packages contains (see my Preview: The Remaining 2 Entry Grade Gundam Model Kits post). I think I'll be able to post the review for one of them tomorrow, but for now I would like to post a review of the other package that I received. I bought this from WasabiToys (if you're interested, you can check their website, most of their items are discounted right now) and this is a famous hobby magazine from Japan: the Dengeki Hobby.

Already Damaged...

Ah, stupidity... I have plenty. Unfortunately.

While we were in tbe middle of getting the floor of my room repaired last weekend, I had to remove stuff from my room and place them temporarily in the living room. Of course, I had to move my Gunplas as well and guess what, I dropped one of them.

The shield's handle snapped off, and it's only been 2 weeks... Annoying.

Deformed, then Reconstructed...

Oh, sorry, I'm referring to my room.

Whew! That was a long weekend! There was actually an government election held here in our country this Monday, so almost all people had their day-off yesterday as well. But before the elections, our family spent the weekends fixing things in the house. They hired carpenters to fix some of the broken cabinets and other stuff. Also, my room's flooring got fixed as well. Yay! Here's my desk's current look. No drastic changes, mind you, but you can now check my tiny desk in its entirety.

My Desk, back to normal!

Time to get back on Gundam-related posts! I still have other Gunplas to review, including the ones from the package that I received last week. Alright! I'm gonna start with the first package that I received, the one that I bought from sulit.com.ph.

Going Places - Sky Ranch (Tagaytay)

Tagaytay City's "Sky Eye" Ferris Wheel.
I've heard of news that SM built a Ferris Wheel in Tagaytay this year. Apparently, it's the tallest Ferris Wheel in the Philppines. Well, we're in Tagaytay just last Saturday and before we leave, of course, we'd like to see the Ferris Wheel first! So, here we are. Welcome to "Sky Ranch", home of the tallest Ferris Wheel in the country, the "Sky Eye".

After parking our vehicle, we went straight in!

More pictures can be viewed after the break, people!

Going Places - Puzzle Mansion: Bed & Breakfast (Tagaytay)

The Puzzle Mansion!
We went to Tagatay City last Saturday, but didn't really planned to visit a specific place there. So, we just drove around the place, looking for interesting stuff to see. Then, we saw a signboard of the Puzzle Mansion, so we decided to check it out.

Once we got there, I just took all the pictures that I can. The Puzzle Mansion is a Bed & Breakfast place, but you can also visit their puzzle exhibit. Apparently, they have the Guinness World Record of largest collection of jigsaw puzzles. The owner of the Puzzle Mansion is one Georgina Gil-Lacuna, and she received the achievement just last year, on November 29, 2012.

Alright, time for some pictures!

Going Places: The Pictures of My Travels

Where are we going? No, that's not a Dora the Exlorer reference.
From time to time, my family and I (or sometimes with my friends) go to places to relax, unwind, or just to get a quick change of pace. I'm sure almost all of you do, too.  Although we only do it very rarely since it takes time to plan, money to spend, and free time, and we only have a few days off in a year. On our day-offs, if ever we decide to go somewhere, it's usually just a trip to the mall. Mom does her usual grocery shopping, Dad checks if there are new interesting musical instruments or equipments, and my sister just usually accompanies my Mom... Me? I go to my favorite area in the mall, the electronics area and the toys section in the department store, and check if there's something new. Maybe there's a new gadget, an interesting toy/action figure, what Gundam kits are for sale... And if ever we decide to do something else, we just usually go to a swimming pool/hot springs.

Package!!

I bought something online! I actually received this last Monday and I just wasn't able to post it immediately.

I got 2 packages. The other one was delivered by LBC, but I got excited, opened it immediately and forgot to take a picture.

Thoughts on 3D Printers & 3D Scanners: How it will affect Plastic Model Kits

As an Otaku, I love all sorts of things that come from Japan. Anime, Manga, Plamo, etc... But I also like gadgets. Of course, they're usually expensive, that's why I usually need to justify to myself (and my money) if I really need a certain gadget. But it doesn't hurt to just look at news of upcoming gadgets and drool at them. Uhmmm.. Yeah. That's why most of my time on the interweb is spent on blog sites like Engadget.

Engadget is a blog site for news, reviews, or just about anything related to gadgets and technology, but I guess you're probably already aware of this. It is one of the most popular tech sites around, after all. I visit this site almost daily, just browsing through all the articles at random. It's always interesting to see new gadgets because they're so COOL! I always read reviews from this site (and also tons of reviews from other sites) before I buy a certain gadget. Research, research, research! It's always best to compare products first before putting your hard-earned money on it. Of course, since I always frequent this site, I also get to see how technology has evolved over the years. It evolves very fast, by the way.

G Generation-F Super Deformed No.227: RX-178 + FXA-05D Super Gundam

It's a Gundam. And it's Super. Hah!
Welcome, May 2013! Another month for random Gundam-related stuff and, hopefully, more Gunpla Reviews. And to start this month off, I present to you another Super Deformed Gunpla Review from the G Generation line of kits. (But I was really planning on putting this off for tomorrow.)

Today, we're going to take a look at "SD Super Gundam"! Jump past the break to check the full details.
